Unionbank EON Cyber Account

This blog’s author wishes to make known that the steps in the procedures were taken in order to have a Unionbank EON Cyber Account for the transfer of payment made from sponsored posts paid through PayPal, were done through application in person, not through online application. Though the two are the same, except for the first step.

Here are the steps in the process that I went through to have money from PayPal transferred to my Unionbank EON Cyber account.

  1. Because I was so excited to have my EON Card I went to the nearby Unionbank Branch to be able to apply for my EON Cyber Account personally. For those who are pressed for time, you may apply online through this clickable link below: http://www.unionbankph.com/EONCYBER/eonapplystep1.asp <- DOES NOT WORK ANYMORE, better apply for your EON Cyber Account personally.

Hi, I am applying for an EON card too. Thanks for these information.

Hope you have an easy time getting your EON card and making it work without a glitch. Thanks for the visit ๐Ÿ™‚

hi. what about for students like me? i only have my school id, and i tried getting a voter’s id but the comelec in davao says they don’t give out ids anymore, instead they gave me a voter’s certification which the bank won’t accept. any suggestions?hehe. thanks.

Tiara, you can use your current school id. Click here for more details. That postal id is expensive, even more than the EON’s annual fee.I don’t know about the barangay id or something but do try to get one too. Not sure though if there’s a fee involved. “Good luck” ๐Ÿ™‚

oh. and the postal id costs P380 plus. hehe. kaya i didnt get one.

hi! after you got your EON card, kelan mo na add ung card sa paypal mo? just got my EON yesterday!

Julia, honestly I can’t remember, haha! Basta you call the Unionbank customer service, then ask for your expanded four digit number. Put it in the designated place in your PayPal account. I think I waited for a week or more. Then after that, when the card had been verified, the money you earned, either from blogging or if you sell merchandise online, can be transferred to your PayPal account. When my card was not verified yet, I had to email PPP support to have the money I earned transferred which they did naman. Just remember, you have to have some amount in the card first before you have the card verified so that PayPal will acknowledge your account. Hope this helped. Thanks and I hope you can come back since I will be posting another topic about the PayPal. Best regards! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey, this is very informative. So now I can transfer the funds from my paypal account to a local bank? That’s cool. I would like to have an EON card too. Thanks for your help, Greenbucks. God Bless!

Jessica, you can register with PayPal the EON card which they (PP) can verify. A credit card would also be an option but EOn has no other charges aside from its annual membership fee . Once your account has been verified, that is the time you can register your local bank account. No problem, hope you can come back and visit our other blogs too ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for the visit.

you’re lucky you didn’t have problems with your EON. I applied last december, a few days before christmas. because of the holidays, I waited until january for my card to be ready. i was so eager to enroll at paypal but then it took Union bank almost TWO weeks to activate my card. paypal kept declining my enrollment. I kept complaining to UB, grabe. I was able to finally enroll with paypal after numerous complaints and follow ups but when I checked with UB’s online banking, ayaw gumana ng PIN ko. that was the second week of january. I had to surrender my card again so that it can be replaced. I’m hoping it will be ready tomorrow! whew! grabe. and after all this, it was announced that withdrawal from any Phil bank is now open!

took me a longtime to reply,my apologies. I hope everything will be ok now with your PayPal and EON accounts. But these things happen,we all learn from it. I must admit I am impatient too when what I expect to happen is not exactly happening. I can sometimes be a call center agent’s nightmare but hubby tells me to cool down since they do not exactly know what to do talaga, they just have standard answers (that they read and/or have memorized). Hmph!

Eon randomly charges you whatever amount it wants!

I bought an item from an Ebay seller.. I sent P680 and EON charged me P150 by mistake and they dont intend on crediting me back!

It says on their website, bank charges is only supposed to be P10, but they charged me a hundred pesos anyways!

This is the crappiest service and if you have other options? Go with them instead.

FYI they also have the WORST customer service available

  12. greenbucks on 20 May 2008 at 8:53 pm 12

Jay, I am sorry to hear about the overcharge. I haven’t bought anything from ebay yet so I can’t say anything about this ๐Ÿ˜‰

Anyway, I hope that this won’t happen again to you and I hope they would return your money. Haven’t tried to call their customer service either, after I got my card.

I guess there are no other options here except registering one’s local bank account for PayPal. I have registered my account but haven’t tried transferring funds (as if I have a lot ๐Ÿ˜€ ) yet.

    Thanks for the visit.

  13. Jay on 24 May 2008 at 8:37 am 13

    Hi!
Nope on their site it clearly states local bank transfer costs 10 pesos.. Upon calling customer service? They told me that its now 100 pesos and they just didnt bother changing the website to reflect it(since sept 07 and I got overcharge 1 month or 2 ago).. Total disregard of customer service eh?

I’ll be reporting them to the DTI.. Tnx for emailing me.. I’ve actually forgotten ahaha..

hi can i used ba the debit eon cyber account sa ebay like selling and i dotn have bank checking accout.

  15. greenbucks on 16 Jul 2008 at 10:05 pm 15

Jona, I am not sure for I do not have an eBay account. Do you have a PayPal account? Why don’t you get a Paypal account for the payments of the products that you are selling then just transfer your money to EON. Though of course, there is a $5 fee for every transaction made.

  16. FRANCES on 17 Jul 2008 at 1:57 pm 16

Hi! I want to ask if you do paypal services? I want to buy something from Ebay but I dont have a credit card or an eon account:-(

  20. greenbucks on 15 Nov 2009 at 7:34 am 20

Cass, you want to buy something from Ebay and having your own EON account might help you purchase what you like. No, I don’t do PayPal services for others except for business transactions and probably donations for site maintenance ๐Ÿ˜€

  22. greenbucks on 22 Mar 2010 at 3:34 pm 22

Jean, you can use your EON card to withdraw money from their ATMs or any Megalink ATMs. i haven’t re-activated my online account because I don’t see the need to.

  23. Ehra on 14 Oct 2010 at 11:00 pm 23

I have been using EON for many years and got no problem until na nag request akong palitan ang na expired kung card. Nang inilagay ko yung card sa paypal ko eto nataggap kong message

โ€ This credit card has been denied by the bank that issued your credit card. For details on why your card was denied, please contact your credit card issuerโ€™s customer service department. Or, you may want to try adding a different credit card. โ€

When I use my ATM sa ATM machine for withdrawal it says this card is restricted

And when I apply it sa online banking nila it says Card is Unauthorizedโ€ฆnakakainis considering na nagsabi yung Unionbank employees na activated na yung account ko at nag deposit pa nga ako nga money para sa bagong Unionbank account ko โ€ฆ.

Hope someone can help me with my problem with EOn until now kasi inaccessible na yung ATM/EON card ko

  24. greenbucks on 18 Oct 2010 at 6:31 am 24

Ehra, maybe better go to the branch where you applied for your card. I am off to one today because my card will be expiring in a few days’ time.

I hope everything will turn out ok for you ๐Ÿ™‚

  25. ehra on 30 Oct 2010 at 8:04 am 25

Here’s how I have sorted out the problem ..I go to Union bank and i have found out that they have activated the wrong card or the older one is activated..They sorted the problem after 5 hours of waiting to Union Bank then when I check my card in the ATM its already working just fine ..So I applied for online banking right away and its already ok …Although I have waited for around 2 days before I successfully use it in paypal and I was able to withdraw now…

  26. greenbucks on 02 Nov 2010 at 8:06 pm 26

That’s good to know, at least you got your account up and running. 5 hours of waiting was too long though ๐Ÿ™

Mine expired this month and I gave my card back because it has expired. Bank personnel told me to come back after 5 days, i hope to get my card on Friday ๐Ÿ™‚

  27. fruthiez on 25 Apr 2011 at 2:26 am 27

I can’t login in EON Cyber Account… I enrolled last Thursday in EON Cyber Account and still I can’t login… I need your help…

  28. greenbucks on 27 Apr 2011 at 7:09 am 28

    Hi Fruthiez,

Perhaps you can try calling or going to the branch where you have an account and tell them your predicament. You can also try calling their hotline: 841-8600 and ask their customer service what you can do about it.

    best regards,Julie

  29. Franz on 04 Jul 2014 at 9:25 pm 29

    Hi!

Like the rest, I want to ask help from you. Okay na yung eon card ko. I have it with me na and I deposited some money in it na. Naconnect na naman sya sa paypal account ko. Ang problem is yung card statement.

Where can I find the card statement? Most blogs suggest na i-open ko daw ang online account ko, however, hndi ako makapag-apply sa sa cyberaccount ng unionbank -_- nakaSTRESS na talaga! Promise :/ haaay. Idk whats wrong. Wew. Bsta everytime na isusubmit ko na yung form, sinasabi nila na invalid daw. Pero as far as I can remember, correct naman yung details that I provided. Paano kaya masosolve toh? ๐Ÿ™ please help me

  30. greenbucks on 07 Aug 2014 at 7:00 am 30

    Hi Franz!

Sa totoo lang, I haven’t been able to access the online version of this account though I am still actively using it as a debit card.

Anyway, better call the hotline, the number is written I think in the small paper where you got your PIN and ask the CSR to help you ๐Ÿ™‚
