I am sure there will be a lot of exciting things to ogle at and car accessories to write on a wish list, lol.

Yes, they love custom cars AND exotics! They can even name some most of the make and brand.

One of the games they enjoy playing with is 18 Wheels of Steel Across America. They get to race across America carrying different kinds of cargo, maneuvering different kinds of streets, and buy truck accessories. Yes, son loves doing the “set-up” in cars and trucks.

The son learned a lot of places when he started playing this game. He even learned calculating distances, knowing when to gas up or not yet and converting miles to kilometers.

I still vividly remember those drag races we use to go to when that mall beside Manila Bay was still being built. Adrenalin pumping to say the least. Just to hear the cars rev is enough to make one look on and watch.

For now, these street racers like that participants in Bullrun with which we await the second season should be thankful that these kinds of technologies are available to them.

For those who race in the middle of the night along a major road near where we live, I hope you know what you are doing.

Who wants Yellow Cab Pizza delivered in a Ducati? Now that would be fun, wouldn’t it?

That is a rider (not sure if this is Glenn Aguilar) on a Ducati during a motorcycle race that we watched a few months ago at the Batangas Racing Circuit.

I did see a huge poster of this bike along EDSA, a major thoroughfare here in Metro Manila, a few weeks ago. But because my eyesight has some problems, I was not abe to read what it was all about,

Anyway…

City living (particularly here in Metro Manila) + having a car = getting an auto insurance. Why?

The roads are bumpy, and even the main thoroughfare called EDSA is one bumpy, rough road. One never knows what is on the road ahead and there have been so many accidents involving those little islands they have erected along this major road which should not have been the case.

Streets inside residential places have humps (placed by the homeowner in front of his home) every few meters or so. I kid you not. Poor vehicles have their suspension groaning. If it keeps the kids playing on the streets from getting hit, I understand.

The traffic is so bad, even with six lane roads, it IS very bad and slow moving. And when traffic is bad and vehicles are bumper to bumper during rush hour, just pray that your car…

wouldn’t be scratched or dented by those driving buses, taxi cabs and Asian utility vehicles carrying people to work places, rushing like they own the roads. Do they even care? It looks like they don’t.
