Blocked

When I get a call from an unknown number, I don’t answer the call. It is easier for me to answer if I get an sms first telling me who is calling. Paranoid I know, but I don’t want to talk to people calling me to sell something or asking me favors I can’t refuse.

Speaking about mobile phones and gadgets, I read somewhere before that credit cards, debit cards, driver’s licenses can be “read” by radio frequency signals? And that identity theft, among others can happen when these are done?

I might get rfid blocking wallets for me and the hubby not that we have credit cards with info to be stolen from 😀

But this, cellphone shielding bag I’ve read about would be great to block mobile phone calls and that means no more calls before 8am 😀

Future Plans

I don’t know the reason why but it seems my children has some sort of “aversion” to office work. I asked my eldest daughter if she wants to work in an office after college and she replied “What will I do there the whole day?” LOL.

There is probably no shortage for entry level management jobs but it seems that young people these days prefer to go out and conquer the world. I see nothing wrong because looking back, I don’t have it in me to be as risky as they are now and would not have taken these career moves.

Having my family with me gives me nothing to think that I missed  something “big” out there.

Formula One Qualifiying was Postponed

My son was looking forward to watching the qualifying rounds at the 2010 Formula One Suzuka Race Track yesterday. He was at first disappointed because we were out of the house during the time this was supposed to happen (but my gosh, we were at the house of hubby’s family where there is catv and he can watch there!)

He only heaved a sigh of relief upon the announcement that  this was postponed due to heavy rains and he can watch it today, here in the comfort of our home. Yey! No, we don’t have catv 😉

So now I have to go offline so he can maximize the bandwidth 🙂

Some mommy blogger friends and I together with the Dona Elena Cuisinera Club members attended the Dona Elena Cuisinera Spook-tacular Halloween Party Treats the other weekend.

Cheesy Pasta

Pasta is one of the best things to have for brunch.

I like cheesy pasta though my eldest daughter has some sort of aversion to it. She likes cheese but too much in pasta makes her feel uncomfortable.

This was from the buffet of Annabel’s when we attended a cooking event last year (almost a year ago na pala ito). I sat with a mommy blogger and her nurse daughter and we talked about so many things then particularly our Ondoy experience. What happened prompted her at that time to get life insurance quotes for her family.

Please do check out some of the recipes from Dona Elena Cooking Demo in these posts.
