Golgotha in Zambales

We have just celebrated Earth Day 2008 yesterday.

Do people really care about Mother Nature?

Do people really do their part in helping preserve or even keep nature alive?

Mother Nature is called as such because of the abilities to nurture, to care for, to nourish people who inhabit this lovely green and blue planet.

Would we say that these are still the colors we can see on this planet?

Look at this blurred photo taken from a moving car. Yes, it is blurred photo but the destruction is so clear:

Sad. When I was in Nueve Ecija, I could see the Sierra Madre and its deforested slopes in the distance. People are either so ignorant or apathetic about the environment. I wonder when we will realize what we have done to Mother Nature.

I think there has been some improvement on people’s awareness about how to treat this earth. Last summer I noticed recycling bins in my own hometown plus people being more conscientious in how and where they throw their trash. I thought that was a good first step.

I know what you mean. When we went to Cagayan Valley three years ago, it was so darn hot in the area of Isabela and NV. Kalbo mga bundok nila. Same with Quezon (Rizal side) you can see destruction that’s why thousand died there due to landslide. What utter disrespect for Mopther Nature and people call it progress. Sheesh. Pasensiya ka na, nakakainit lang ng ulo. Peace.

Tita Princess, with all the media hype, there are improvements but when the cameras are not there anymore, people go back to their ways. Kakagigil. People, especially politicians who get benefits by having their pockets full, they don’t care at all. They call these things progress. I don’t think it is. At all. Ever.

Poor sight, thats what people have at times, often times.Do you know,in Subic, the Koreans cut down decades old trees to build high rise condos?
