Gormiti

It used to be that toys are for a certain gender like dolls for girls and toy cars for boys. Well, it still is, to most people, especially the older ones.

In these big toy stores we go to, the invisible demarcation lines of dividing the toys for the boys and toys for the girls is apparent. The girls’ section is all pink and girly-girly while the boys section has bright and bold colors.

As a mother, I can’t remember if I made it clear to my children that they can only play some toys due to their gender. For one, our youngest daughter loves guns, robots, swords, shields and police-related paraphernalia. As a matter of fact as I tucked her to sleep a while ago, I sat on a Gormiti character on the bed. Ouch.

Yep, that is what her current favorite is now: Gormiti characters. Not that I don’t mind her liking these and playing the online game but asking us to get.her.one.character.after.another is not really funny.

We must work harder with her studies and perhaps she might get what she wishes for 😉
