Good Key Words

It has been said that good key words are the key to being found. Or searched.

What are good key words?

Key words are words that are used by people searching for information in the net. These words are then retrieved, in this case in the net, from search engines. Key words are generated by indexing or other keyword extraction methods.

One sure thing that will make your site, whether its a business website or a personal blog, easier to find in search engines is to choose the appropriate key words that relate to your products, services, niche, specialization, and whatever more it is called.

The more general terms you use, the harder it is to “find you” since there are other sites “competing” for a high search rank other than you. The more specific words you use, the more you, your website, your blog, will be found by people.

One of the effective places where you can be easily found is by properly using your site’s html title.

Blogging is not new anymore. To those who are internet cafe habitués or wired at home or in the office, blogging is not probably new to them.

Blogging is not just writing about topics you love.

It is not just writing about events, whether significant or trivial about your life.

Blogging is a form of expression

• ranting about something unpleasant
• writing about good news that would make others feel good (that includes one’s self too)
• reviewing something that has happened food eaten, events and places visited
• writing about work-related topics
• writing about angst as stress relief or targeting specific persons
• getting paid for writing

Welcome to a new subdomain: GreenBucks

Yup, this is going to be a site where we would try to post tips about blogging. We have had a year’s worth or more of experiences about blogging in our blog: TeacherJulie.com which is basically a partnership with my family, with delegation of works in doing technical matters re plug-ins, putting widgets and documentation of everything we have been doing. GreenBucks, which is yours truly, is the writer.

What has started basically as a hobby and as a way to share experiences as a special education teacher became a hodge-podge of topics important and close to our hearts. So we tried expanding. Now we have three subdomains:

1. Trixie’s luckycharms which is her personal journal.
2. Julian’s homeschooling which is all about Julian’s homeschooling lessons and experiences about his quest for knowledge.
3. And GreenBucks, which is going to be the latest and newest online project.

We still have other plans in the making but for now, we would like to generate good quality content for GreenBucks before we embark on another chapter of our blogging adventure.
