Cedar Cove

I am a fan of Debbie Macomber series called Cedar Cove and I got excited reading about a mini-series featuring the stories:

I hope I would be able to watch these episodes.

Sherlock

If you haven’t watched just one of BBC’s Sherlock episodes, then this is the perfect time to watch because there have been 5 episodes already shown.

I’ve watched all five episodes so far and I can’t wait for the sixth. I can’t really blame BBC for having only a few episodes because an hour and a half for each episode is just like watching a movie! At the same time, it makes us fans yearn for more.

I am a big fan of Sherlock Holmes, having two volumes of those thick books written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I’ve read all the stories there, some twice, others thrice. One was borrowed and was not returned and I believe because I truly am a fan, I got the same book from an event I attended: new, still covered and smelling oh so good.

Anyway, I’ve watched the two movies with Robert Downey Jr too.

What I plan to do is to look for older TV shows to watch and enjoy.

#HashtagKiller

I so love Psych so when the opportunity to get involved in an online “game” to play with Sean and Gus with #HashtagKiller, I had to sign up.

I just had to.

Come on, let’s play #HashtagKiller!

Cut Short

I watched a show from a local tv network this afternoon and found myself melancholic afterwards. The show featured two young people, a six-year old girl and champion motorcycle racer who was in his early twenties.

The little girl was violated and later on killed. Not that she was wearing  slutty costumes that made the suspect see something else other than an innocent little girl but she was enticed to go to a nearby carnival (peryahan) because it was their little village’s fiesta.

The young man, on the other hand, a champion motorcycle racer who is making a name for himself in international circuits had his life cut short because of an accident due to negligence on the race track and rescue people.

Both lives cut short. Both situations different from one another but nonetheless painful to accept and difficult to understand. As a mom, I don’t know if I would be able to bring myself to deal with these kinds of situation.

2011 Golden Globe Awards

Watching the 2011 Golden Globe Awards makes me wonder how these tv and movie personalties keep the weight off.

Or maybe it’s like just asking

Ok, I admit that I actually am green with envy that no matter how much I try to stay away from sweets and fats the bulge won’t come off, 😀

Chris Colfer! Congratulations! Yes, I watch Glee every Wednesday morning where we are.

Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular

I only watched part of Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular on NBC after I watched Dateline and wrote a blog post while it was being shown. Wasn’t able to watch Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular in its entirety (though I saw Justin Bieber, LeAnn Rimes and Enrique Iglesias perform before fireworks were shown) because I just rested my tired and sleepy eyes for a bit and I just zonked out.

When I woke up the other half was done. This happens a lot lately, like I can sleep at the drop of a hat.

It is no wonder that I have dark circles since I wake up before 4:30am to prepare packed lunch for the school children.

When I don’t need to go to work, I usually go back to bed and take a mid-morning nap so that I have enough energy to last me through the day. When I have to go to work though is another story. I’m like a zombie walking.

And yes, my other mommy friends complain the same thing too: waking up too early and not having enough sleep. And now I read this sleep problems contribute to weight gain?

I’m doomed.
