Chico Fruit

This is a chico fruit grown in my parents backyard. The bats love this fruit. It is called sapodilla or Manilkara zapota. I love to eat this after chilling in the fridge for a few hours. Tastes like brown sugar. Yummy for me though not for everyone’s taste.

It seems this fruit is not popular, even here in the Philippines. Bakit kaya, kasi lagi sabi “amoy chico” when one had a drink too many 😀
