Chico Fruit
Jul 18th 2008greenbucksBlogging101 & Food Friday & Philippines & Photos
This is a chico fruit grown in my parents backyard. The bats love this fruit. It is called sapodilla or Manilkara zapota. I love to eat this after chilling in the fridge for a few hours. Tastes like brown sugar. Yummy for me though not for everyone’s taste.

Bats love these 😀
It seems this fruit is not popular, even here in the Philippines. Bakit kaya, kasi lagi sabi “amoy chico” when one had a drink too many 😀
This is a favorite fruit too, Jenn, even now 🙂
I am not sure if this can be found in other countries, Jean 🙂
Lots of Chico Fruits/Trees at Arayat, Pampanga!
