Tuna Steak

foodfriday

Tuna steak marinated in soy sauce, ground pepper, lemon juice, dried rosemary and oyster sauce, served with fried egg over steaming rice.

Tuna Steak

Perfect for a late night breakfast dinner.

A combo of these things with a variation with the tuna steak is something I prepare for hubby whenever he gets home late from work.

I am not fond nights when he gets home late because I fear for his safety. Plus I have to think of ways to get rid of dark circles under my eyes the next day 😀

Baked Mac and Pan-Fried Steak

foodfriday

We had a simple Thanksgiving dinner today.

Baked Macaroni and Steak

Baked macaroni and pan-fried steak with mushroom gravy.

The baked mac (and any other pasta) and steak are both common sights on our kitchen table but these are rarely found together in our meals. Together, these two make a wonderful meal.

I also made the mushroom gravy from scratch and yes, it passed the standards of the kids. Yipee!

Yes, that is something to be thankful for, being able to prepare meals that my children enjoy.

Happy Friday! 🙂

Chocolate and Strawberries

foodfriday

There is something special about chocolate and strawberries (and cherries too)  together that seem perfect.

No, the strawberries and cherries didn’t plunge down into that abyss in the big bowl.

I Googled “chocolate + strawberries” and I got close to 4 million results. Wow.

Fresh Strawberries

foodfriday

fresh strawberries

Fresh strawberries, anyone? These are best eaten in moderation when given to my son because it causes asthma attacks. No kidding.

We love fruits and i am happy to announce that the kids love fruits too. Apples, bananas, watermelon, oranges, avocado, mangoes (ripe ones and green ones), pineapple and fruit cocktail (kidding)

This particular plate is a favorite because of the dainty flower designs. I think it looks like glass tiles, 😀

Green Salad To Go

foodfriday

(home prepared) vegetable salad to go

As I have written here and here, I don’t usually buy/order vegetable salad prepared somewhere else because it is easy and inexpensive to prepare these things from home.

This has Romaine lettuce, cheese cubes and tuna with light mayonnaise.
