Loving the Cool Weather

We are loving the cool weather. Though the hazy cool weather is making a lot of people sick with asthma, pneumonia and other respiratory illnesses, I must say this is my kind of weather.

Perfect time to be outdoors savoring the cool air but we have no place to go where the air is clean. The kids are sorta going through cabin fever but we ain’t going to the malls this time.

The fans are not turned on the whole time and that includes the ceiling fans.

I just wish the asthma attack on the little boy will not make a comeback after the New Year, booo! to those who light firecrackers, making the air more polluted than ever.

Cajun Chicken Pasta

This is my Filipino version of Cajun Chicken Pasta that I got from The Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond‘s blog. Now, If you don’t know who she is, quick! do click the link to her name and believe me, you WILL spend hours reading her blog.

Chicken Pasta

I know, my pasta pales in comparison with hers, LOL, but hey, the kids got clean plates and even asked for seconds. I used Italian seasoning (combination of different herbs) instead of Cajun seasoning which I’m not sure can be found in the supermarkets. I must look harder next time. We have had this several times since I first tried to cook it.

Now excuse me while I go looking for hot tub covers online 🙂

Ingredients here just in case.

Yakiniku Beef Sandwich

Have you tried Yakiniku beef? It looks like bacon, only beef. We absolutely super duper love it!

That’s my Yakiniku beef and egg sandwich (I prefer it a bit burnt to remove excess fat) and vegetable salad. Sunquick orange juice to wash down the food. Yum.

Home-cooked Food

I know, this has fats attached to it but I don’t really eat it because it’s “bawal” bummer. The kids have this as their lunch. Here is my Yakiniku beef and mushroom and what I make for them ala-Jo****** beef and mushroom meal 🙂

Here by the way is a controversial issue about Yakiniku beef but not about the quality but something that involved a plagiarist 😉

I was  looking for articles about custom laptops when friends alerted me about the controversial issue.  Hmph.

Mahirap kaya magluto at kumuha ng magandang picture tapos they will say these are theirs.

So Many Things to Do

We just had dinner. Breaded and deep fried chicken fillet and spaghetti with tomato-based sauce. Now I feel sleepy because I am full.

Ironic because just this afternoon I was talking about how to lose weight quickly.

My youngest daughter once asked me why I tend to eat more than she eats. I told her I need the energy to keep up with all the things I need to do: go to work, do house chores, help them with their homework and projects and finish other online tasks.

If I don’t eat, I don’t know if I have the energy to even think about how I will accomplish the things I need to do.

Later as I get the children ready to go to bed, I really hope I can have enough sleep because I still have to wake up at 4am to prepare packed lunch for school tomorrow. Sigh.

Private

Teens love their privacy, no doubt about it.

Pre-teens love to put up signs on their things like notebooks, bags, boxes and even bedroom doors like: Private property” OR “No entry” OR “Knock before you enter” OR “Do not touch my things and if you do, you have to pay ___” Ok, that last part can be seen on my children’s bedroom, written by my eldest child.

Its no wonder some even come up making “no trespassing signs” in the hope of warding off intruders.

And by intruders I mean parents taking a little snoop here and there. Ahem. How do I know? 😉

Home-Made Shawarma

Home-made chicken shawarma: wheat pita bread (store bought), sliced green bell pepper and cucumber and chicken strips cooked in oyster sauce.

Yummy!

home-made shawarma

Some vegetables that can be included: sliced onions, sliced tomatoes, and lettuce bits. Add a little garlic mayo sauce and cheese and its good to go.

A bit of chili sauce for added zing would be great too.

Personally I liked just the green veggies for their crunch, which is also good for those on the lookout for Phentermine 37.5 and wanting to lose weight.
