Gift Ideas

The season of gift-giving is finally here and I haven’t bought a single gift for giving yet. I mean, I have, for my children but to those outside my nuclear family, there’s none yet. Not even grocery stuff for my parents, maybe new books for my niece and pull up bars for my brother who wants to have a bigger bod.

These days I give gifts that are not too expensive but can be appreciated. Like baked goodies which I personally bake. These can be eaten and best of all, I labored to make these myself.

So there. Frankly, I don’t understand why people call me frugal because I give these things as gifts.

Homebaked Brownies

True to my plan to spend frugal Christmas, I was able to bake several batches of brownies to give away to relatives and for my children to munch on.I found these easier to bake than the cookies I planned to do first.

I was even able to bake some butter loaves to give to the children who come a-knocking on the gates on Christmas day for some “aginaldo”. We were even able to give to those plying the streets when we went to hubby’s aunt’s for lunch on the 25th.

Anyway, here are some of the brownies I baked in a photo taken on Christmas eve:

Here’s wishing you all a bountiful 2009 filled with joy, peace and love 🙂
