1.7M iPhone 4s Sales

Are you one of those 1.7M people who got iPhone 4s?

I sure hope you also got iphone insurance because you would never know if you iPhone is safe from those who have other thoughts when they see you using it.

Here in our country, mobile phones can disappear from your hands faster than you can say 1-2-3. No kidding.ย  Stores even sell these. So if you are going to buy “second hand” mobile phones without a box, manual, CD and other stuff, it is most likely what is called a GSM or “galing sa magnanakaw” which also means stolen cellphone.

Anyway, I myself want to have a unit. My online-generated stash says I can afford one but not when I buy these here since the price will get tripled. You know, taxes and everything. By the time this iPhone 4 gets here by September, I need to pay the tuition and it gives me excuse to NOT indulge.

But still, I want one!!! ๐Ÿ˜€

.xxx Internet Suffix

I have read an article like this before and in fact I even have a draft in my other blog about .xxx internet suffix to be used for porn adult sites.

The fact that there are more than 100k pre-reservations for this certain domain shows how the adult content is active. This was reported by ICM Registry. These domains though are not yet available but they are looking at early 2011.

What NOT to do in Facebook

For all the Facebook lovers who are making this social networking site their prime communication tool with family and friends, take heed:ย  there are seven things NOT to do in Facebook.

  1. Do not use a weak password (like your dog’s name, or your birth date, or even your middle name)
  2. Do not leave you full birth date on your profile (same goes with your school, home address, office address, mobile phone, home phone).
  3. Do not read about and learn and USE the privacy settings and risk yourself getting exposed (duh)
  4. Do not allow your children’s name to be tagged even by friends, if they do not have an account. If you have a child(ren), remove their tagged names, especially if they do not have an account there.
  5. Do not make your weekend getaway a secret (or for this matter do not put out a “for everyone” status update about a party in your home)
  6. Do NOT let search engines find you (unless you want to be found, duh?) and yes, there is such a setting that will allow you to not get found (go figure it out in the privacy setting)
  7. Do not allow children to login unsupervised. Instead, supervise young children who have Facebook accounts and love to play third party apps/games (better yet, they will only get logged in if you are there to provide the password) when they are logged in.

Behind the Camera

I was sorting through so many photos when I noticed something. I am rarely in the photos.

No, not because I always have acne, which incidentally, I have one that popped up a few days ago. Argh!

Almost always, I am the one taking photos and I tend to forget to ask one of the children to take a photo with me in it. I hope when the children are all grown up they won’t think I didn’t want to have photos taken with them ๐Ÿ˜€

iBlog6

I attended the iBlog6 last Friday and I met new blogger friends.

There were a lot of people from the advertising industry on the day I went because the first day dealt with the business side of blogging.

Of course, they were not selling custom travel mugs ๐Ÿ˜€

They were there to “pulse” the bloggers and to learn how to deal with bloggers or ok, the “new media” or “online media” to some in terms of business deals and events where their products and services are featured and bloggers are invited.

The venue was not filled but I still didn’t get a shirt from so many that were raffled off ๐Ÿ™ It would have been nice to have a collection from iBlog3 till iBlog6.
