Halo-halo, shaved ice with sweetened and cooked fruit toppings, topped with leche flan and/or ice cream, made even sweeter with sugar and milk. This is a Chowking Halo-halo.

This is what my youngest daughter and I shared before going home when she went with me to work.

I didn’t even think about the nuphedragen review I read 😉

I do not even want to think how much sugar there is in there, we just enjoyed the treat and the tongue freeze that this Chowking Halo-halo gave 😀

Homemade Tiramisu (or something like it) which I already featured here in my 2010 Project 365.

I did this homemade tiramisu before getting wedding party gifts for a friend. When we got home, it was the perfect sweet thing to have after a long and tiring day.

Ingredients:

• broas or lady fingers dipped for a bit in bitter coffee melted in water
• all purpose cream and condensed milk mixed together (no mascarpone cheese in our household)
• cocoa powder
• dark chocolate syrup (optional)

Dip the broas briefly in the coffee. Lay all the broas together. Put a layer of the cream on top of it. Continue layering depending on your broas.

Sprinkle with cocoa powder when you are done.

Chill for a few hours before serving.

Put chocolate syrup if you so desire. The children asked for some since I did not put a lot of condensed milk and the cream is not too sweet.

I was reading about life insurance quotes last night that it slipped my mind to do Food Friday. So I’m doing this today, first thing after I wake up.

Chocolate Kiss Cafe Triple Treat

If  in case you are undecided to choose what cake you want for dessert, the Chocolate Kiss Cafe Triple Treat cake sampler is the best choice. I wish other restaurants will offer similar samplers.

Just the perfect end to a wonderful summer al fresco meal beside a pond filled with pond lights.

This place came to mind , of course 🙂

Have you tried Taco Pizza? The Taco Pizza in the pic below is a part of four flavored pizza from Burgoo.

Not exactly my favorite restaurant nor do I frequent the place,  it  just happened that I have several food photos from this place.

We love tacos. I remember making tacos before but I did not use tacos shells. I used tortilla chips instead.

Hmmm… I better look for a recipe again so we can have this on weekend.

Recipe-hunting would be more fun than reading about humidifier filters even if  the need for the latter is greater 😉
