Career in Sales

One of the more lucrative jobs, in terms of commissions, would be in sales. Notwithstanding the hurdles one would go through starting this career, the benefits I see are good.

Of course, it is not just about having a glib tongue which will make one successful in this choice of career. Hard work, determination and drive are some of the key strong points to master which can also be said true to other career choices.

Attending sales training is also one way to improve one’s capabilities.

In everything else, tact and respectfulness are two ways to start the ball rolling with potential clients.

Me? I may not have the “it” to become a salesperson but I definitely know a good buy when I see one 🙂

Health Issues

When my father was working at one of the American military bases here, I remember his stories about the buildings there that had to be redone due to a research regarding asbestos material used on the flooring. My grandfather who used to work there had to wear hearing aid due to occupational hazard.

So much have been said about asbestos poisoning which is one of the reasons why mesothelioma is present in people over 65 years of age.

I hope those who have this and other health conditions will be able to survive and their family members come out stronger after dealing with this condition of their loved one.

I Sure Do Need a Vacation

I can feel the pressure building around my shoulders.

Friday is the day we submit the grades for my homeschooling children and we have not completed all task that needs to be completed.

To think I have to make two progress reports for two of my students due for re-evaluation with their developmental pediatrician.

Not that I am complaining but I know I have to make a whole lot of progress reports once I take the first step necessary to be able to do what I intend to do with my other work place.

Graduation Days

March and April are months when graduations happen where we are. My eldest daughter is graduating from elementary school as she is in her 7th grade. We opted to not go to high school even if she passed the entrance test she took last year which means she can skip grade seven.

At first she doesn’t want to go to grade 7 because that would mean additional expenses for  year. But we decided to just go ahead to enable her to prepare herself better for the challenges in high school and to further hone her leadership abilities.

To those graduating students, I salute you for all the hard work you have done (wishful thinking for some, lol).

I Miss the Cold Weather

These past few days have been scorching and to think that it s still February and summer “officially” starts around March.

I miss the cold weather, never mind if I get allergies and some of the students sneeze on me (ugh).

The “cold” weather we experienced for a few weeks during the past two or three months has been intense at times for us who are used to hot and humid weather.

If only our water pressure is not a problem (illegal connections here and there), we would have considered getting an electric tankless water heater then. How wonderful it must be to use warm water for bathing 😀

But now the warm weather is back and we can only say “Ang init-init!” (Translation: It’s scorching hot!”)

Thanks, Jenn

I have been amiss with doing the memes and awards I have received. To those who cling to power through corruption, ooops, wrong words! To those who have linked this site (or my other sites) just give me a holler if I haven’t done the meme you linked me with 🙂

Anyway, very very late as it is, I would like to thank Jenn for this Christmas award that she has sent my way 😀
