Weather Talk

Evenings and early mornings are becoming cooler. The trees on the side of our home are becoming leafless as the days go by.

“Winter” has finally arrived.

Our “winter” in this part of the world is not snowy nor is it not even very cold. The temperature is just right, a bit chilly but not too cold. Though of course being used to hot-very hot daytime weather. people are becoming sick with colds, cough, asthma and allergies. I do get these headaches, runny nose and itchy eyes when I wake up.

I wonder how I and my son who has asthma would fare in places where there are four seasons.

We would like to experience real snow for sure, even if it means allergy attacks ๐Ÿ˜€

Is it time to examine our options then and look up mover NYC just in case?

So You Want to Have a Motorcycle?

I have blogged about motorcycles in different circumstances:

  • This post had a photo about a family riding in one small motorcycle that spell disaster if ever a mistake is made.
  • What about the Ducati motorcycle of Yellow Cab Pizza post?
  • Some of the Batangas Racing Circuit photos that I posted? Yes, there were some superbikes there.

Motorcycles are here to stay, that s for sure. Nothing wrong there except some of the things that the riders do that get them in trouble. They ride fast. They don’t wear their helmets on their head but rather wear these on their arms/elbows (duh?). They ride with 2 other riders. They drive even if they are intoxicated, which is the leading cause of accidents in the country. They ride without safety gears.

So it is any surprise that in Asia, in the Philippines, motorcycle accidents happen day in and day out?

My Favorite Television Series

Last week I did not blog a lot, except when I really, really have to. I even missed doing Litratong Pinoy in my other GreenBucks blog. My two young home schooling children and I were busy studying for the second quarter tests. The grades which were due last Friday has been submitted on time.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time away from the computer. I was able to read three books by John Grisham, started a series (The Hades factor) by my favorite author Robert Ludlum while my son were busy studying.

I was able to watch my DVD collection of tv series.

I would have loved to watch these on HDTV but I know we still have to wait awhile to be able to afford this kind of viewing pleasure. I had fun getting re-acquianted with Shawn and Gus (finished all episodes till season 3), Don and Charlie (finished all episodes till Season 3) and of course, Chuck. I even mentioned an episode of Psych in one of my posts in this blog that talked about Phishing.

This week, Dexter will be my guy. ๐Ÿ™‚

Personal Digital Assistant or PDA

A personal digital assistant or PDA is rewarding in so many ways.

What I am using right now, Palm T3 is quite handy, though this has been released years ago. There are many features that one can use repeatedly. These are some of the features: Calendar, Task Suite, Contacts page, MS Word, MS Excel, Real Player, Adobe Reader and a lot more features that one can ever need, well, as far as when this model was released ๐Ÿ˜‰

Text twist? Photos? Vice memo and recorder? Alarm Clock? I got these too.

But of course, there is no wi-fi with this model. Can’t have everything. But, there is Bluetooth and it can be used to send and receive text messages, as long as my cell phone’s Bluetooth is connected.

If only the battery life will stay longer, I am perfectly content. Well, we really can’t have it all.
