Christmas Eve Window Shopping

I don’t know what has gotten into us the day before Christmas but we decided to go to this business center where bazaars are a-plenty. I was planning to get some colorful beads to make bracelets but I was extremely disappointed. This low building where I used to see the beads being sold are now just selling smartphones and tablets cases and protective screen covers. Shows just what the people are buying for themselves.

There were also stalls that sell “imitation” tablets and smartphones with a known manufacturer’s brand on the gadgets. I don’t know if it is even legal to do that kind of business. But then again, people were buying these things.

One of the stores where a lot of people go to are those that sell speakers, music players, and karaoke gadgets.

We just bought a guitar capo for the daughter and asked about beatboxes which the boy is interested in.

Paper Flowers

One of the things that the daughters are good at is doing crafts and music.

Below are paper flowers that the youngest daughter, Bunso, did for school. The eldest one, Ate,  is crafty too but she is a bit busy in school and doesn’t have time to sit down and create wonderful stuff.

Bunso is a guitar player who is asking for a bigger acoustic guitar and a folding music stand. Although she doesn’t really read notes because she mostly relies on her memory to play songs, I think she wants to look “professional”. Ate is a piano player, taking after the man of the hosue.

On Wheels and Rides

The husband has a two-wheeled ride aka motorcycle, which makes me pray harder and more fervently whenever he uses it to go to work.

The children on the other hand prefer four wheels as their ride than this two-wheeled ride. As for four wheels, I mean the family car or van or MIL’s car which we borrow at least once or twice a month. The son is a Formula 1 fan though I think he loves to “watch” the data and statistics more than he loves watching the race. The youngest child has several toy car collectibles.

Me? I love just going on road trips.

The eldest made known her desire to have an ATV when she was younger and this prompted us to look for the specs (and the price) online in sites like PowerSports. We do not have immediate plans to get one. Yet.

She Wants a Full Size Guitar

The youngest child said she wants a full-size guitar for Christmas because she plans to “retire” her small guitar which she got two years ago.

So we are on the lookout for one that will sound good and not put a dent on the Christmas gift budget. Something like rogue a-90 at guitar center

Wish lists like these are not hard to say no to, especially if the one asking for the wish works hard enough to do wonderful things with the gift.

The Cat Painter

Here is my son as Rahal, The Cat Painter (unblurred face), in a play adapted from The Cat Painter book by Becky Bravo.

TheCatPainter

Last month was his third year to play the part as Rahal when the cast performed at a different school. They were warmly received and I need not say that I am proud of him.

Cedar Cove

I am a fan of Debbie Macomber series called Cedar Cove and I got excited reading about a mini-series featuring the stories:

I hope I would be able to watch these episodes.
