Green Salad To Go

foodfriday

(home prepared) vegetable salad to go

As I have written here and here, I don’t usually buy/order vegetable salad prepared somewhere else because it is easy and inexpensive to prepare these things from home.

This has Romaine lettuce, cheese cubes and tuna with light mayonnaise.

Red Ribbon Grilled Ensaymada and Farmers Ham

When we went to attend Red Ribbon’s White Forest Cake presentation, we were treated to one of the newest addition to the bakeshop’s menu: Grilled Ensaymada and Farmer’s Ham.

grilled ensaymada and farmer's ham

This is a wonderful set that goes with the White Forest Cake. Finish off with a cup of coffee and I am blissfully and gastronomically happy.

That said, appetite suppressants can wait after this plate and this plate have been finished.

Burp! Excuse me.

Charlie Chan Chicken Pasta

Charlie Chan Chicken Pasta from Yellow Cab Pizza. It has a spicy sweetish blend, definitely a winner for me 🙂

Perfect with a can of regular Coke (my choice though hubby insists I get the Coke Zero which is his choice of drinks).

Happy Friday!

(Sotanghon) Vermicelli Pansit

I love pansit. My favorite pansit are that of the bihon and sotanghon (vermicelli or glass noodles) varieties. I have tried cooking pansit but  these always end up unsuccessfully. Either the noodles are too dry or have too much water.

Below is a plate of pansit sotanghon that I cooked:

Yes, there are more vegetables than the noodles but I must say, this batch turned out just right 🙂

We had this for lunch. Best enjoyed when served warm and downed with ice-cold Coke.
