Chocolate Surprise Cookies

Been trying to bake new goodies to give as our Christmas gifts. Yeah, frugal Christmas it is. Again.

chocolate surprise cookies

Of course, I get to eat what I bake and needless to say, I got four very satisfied family members who love to gobble up the goodies.

So is it any surprise that I look like I am in dire need of the best weight loss supplements?

Chocolate surprise cookies which were good especially when eaten warm. Great with coffee or milk.

2010 Wish List

Christmas 2010 is just around the corner and a lot of children are already preparing their wish lists for Santa their parents to read.

I remember that Christmas movie where parents were fighting for that one last most coveted toy of the year. For our children, we got no problem with their wish list because they get to choose the gift they like and we usually agree, providing the amount is not an exaggeration.

So far, this year’s list has: Ben10 watch, Elmo blanket for kids, 3D puzzles, toy cars among others.

I know, boring but hey, it is better they like what they get than ignoring the gift after opening :)

Margarito Has Fractured Orbital Bone

Yesterday’s Manny Pacquiao’s win versus Antonio Margarito was considered a good fight. People all over the world cheered as they fought it out in the ring.

Pinoys tweeted that Margarito has become a “Maga-rito”. Maga for swollen and rito for pointing to a certain location.

What we didn’t know amidst the celebration was that Margarito was rushed to the hospital for fractured orbital bone and surgery has been scheduled.

Of course, these sportsmen have Medicare plan for situations like these but there have been other lesser known boxers whose lives were cut short because of more serious injuries and that is indeed very sad.

I hope Margarito will be fine after the surgery.

Yakiniku Beef Sandwich

Have you tried Yakiniku beef? It looks like bacon, only beef. We absolutely super duper love it!

That’s my Yakiniku beef and egg sandwich (I prefer it a bit burnt to remove excess fat) and vegetable salad. Sunquick orange juice to wash down the food. Yum.

Home-cooked Food

I know, this has fats attached to it but I don’t really eat it because it’s “bawal” bummer. The kids have this as their lunch. Here is my Yakiniku beef and mushroom and what I make for them ala-Jo****** beef and mushroom meal :)

Here by the way is a controversial issue about Yakiniku beef but not about the quality but something that involved a plagiarist ;)

I was  looking for articles about custom laptops when friends alerted me about the controversial issue.  Hmph.

Mahirap kaya magluto at kumuha ng magandang picture tapos they will say these are theirs.

Small Appliances

Two weeks ago, we bought an induction stove. While the product was being process in the payment section, I looked around the products on display.

I just love (window) for small appliances :)

There’s the water kettle (hubby said that’s not a priority anymore because he have the new stove), the bigger mixer (I got a small one that looks a bit inefficient for me, gah!) and scales. Scales sporting new look for there are no more needles indicating the weight but digital readings.

I said I want one like that so that I can monitor my weight and weight loss (if ever, wishful thinking of course) but the kids kidded me: I might break the small glass platform where I’m supposed to stand on. Grrr…
