Tobacco Regulation

Hurrah! for Starbucks because they are implementing “No Smoking” in all stores. I wonder if I would see people there using ecigarette.

Why would they not have this tule, there is a “No Smoking in Public” law of RA 9211 or Tobacco Regulation that was passed.

For those who are allergic to smoke like me and those who have asthma, this is definitely something we have to say we approve of. Yey!

There will be designated smoking areas for the smokers and I’m sure I wouldn’t want to venture in those area 😉 How would people know if these are the designated areas for smoking, authorities say they will put big drums with sand inside. I really hope the authorities will be strict in implementing these rules and not just be strict at the beginning of the implementation.

To smokers, you are not being told to NOT smoke, you can smoke all you want, only in the designated areas where you are supposed to smoke. Ktnxbai.

Father’s Day is Jose Rizal’s 150th Birth Anniversary

Tomorrow, June 19, 2011, is Father’s Day and I’m sure most people are going to celebrate this special day honoring their fathers.

This particular father’s day coincidentally falls on the 150th birth anniversary of Jose Rizal, this nation’s national hero. In a way, Jose Rizal is like a father to the Filipino Youth.

Like our fathers who, along with their own individuality and unique traits like picking the vegetables out of a meat stew, or re-reading books that have long been read or maybe even doing a weekly dusting old sports trophies they’ve won during their prime, Jose Rizal is not just an exceptional young man but a patriot, a true citizen and one who tries to excel in everything he does.

Just like our fathers.

Just like our fathers who work hard to provide for the families needs, Rizal worked hard to achieve freedom for the country.

Just like our fathers who patiently teach their children how to be good citizens, Rizal taught us, through his work how to love our country and fight for what is right.

Our fathers and Jose Rizal are all different from one another but looking at their traits, we will find similarities.

Potato Wedges

I honestly can’t remember what these are called but since these are potato wedges, that’s what I called these yummies from Caffecino by Dome in Eastwood:

Potato Wedges at Caffecino by Dome

The son “devoured” these potato wedges. He absolutely loved it.

Missing my Zumba Classes

I miss my Zumba classes. Zumba classes started on the first week of June but I haven’t enrolled yet.

I want to but I had to get back into the “school days” routine first before I enroll. I also want to have new clothes even if these are not Zumba Wear, LOL. Yes, I’d like to think that I’m a Zumba dancer! Woohoo!

I do dance when I’m home, when I can dance like no one is watching but it is a different thing when doing it with others. You don’t want to sit down and rest because everyone else is exerting so much effort and you’d be inspired to give your best. You want to really, really sit and keep the thumping heart at bay.

I really hope I can enroll next month.

Johnny Bravo Wanna-Be

Someone has been busy all summer lifting weights and eating lean meat to boost muscle development. This young Johnny Bravo wanna-be even asked me about what the best creatine supplement is.

Whoa! I told the young man is slow down first, enjoy the benefits of his efforts and not take anything without a doctor’s advice first. I told him it’s best if he lift weights with a professional’s advice too and not do it alone and without guidance.

He may have heeded my advice because he said he is convincing his dad to have him get a gym membership after his 18th birthday. Yey!
