QC Net Index

I thought our internet connection is pretty fast compared to others but I was wrong because last night it took me almost 4 hours to upload online a 4:02 minutes video.

Where we are, our ISP, SmartBro is the third to the last among 17 other ISPs when compared from the period of August 19, 2008 – February 18, 2011.

Here’s the link.

I sure hope that later on the speed improves.  We need to look at urban clothing photos as reference for a school dance performance and mathematical operations with fractions videos as a refresher lesson.

Ye  right.

Rains are Here?

A few days ago, hubby insisted I get rain coats for the kids. I said “what? rain coats? A few weeks from now it’s gonna be summer.”

He may be right, I guess, the weather’s been freaky these days with flooding when it’s not even supposed to rain.

Last night we had a sort of freak thunderstorm, with loud clapping thunder and lightning that seem to hit a spot near one’s position. Argh, of course, there was traffic. These two go hand-in-hand 😀

I guess I have to get them rain boots too and a pair of dav rain boots for me. Ay La Nina, you are not cute. Summer is supposed to be hot and not short and wet 🙁

Fro-yo

We love fro-yo. I think this is far better than ice cream when it comes to health benefits though a scoop (or more!) of ice cream is one that I will never say “no” to.

froyo

Not only having fro-yo or frozen yogurt is the “in” thing, people flock to these places to conduct their businesses too. One time I heard someone pitching term life insurance rates to another. I was surprised of course, since most of these meetings usually happen in coffee shops.

I like fresh fruits on my fro-yo. Too bad this one had canned blueberries but it is nonetheless yummy.

Typhoon Megi Juan

Typhoon Megi or Juan is one of the strongest typhoon ever to hit the country at category 5 or in local terms, signal #4. Everyone is panicking, and why not?

The typhoon is covering the country and even beyond. Signal number 4 has only been given three times in the same areas, Cagayan, Isabela and Aurora since 1998: Harurot in 2003 (when we were aboard a supercat ferry down south and I got seasick, ugh!) and Paeng in 2006.

We wish everyone to be safe from harm. We can’t hold off the rains and winds of typhoon Juan or Megi but people can go to safer places to be safe and dry.

Update 08:56am: according to WeatherWatch.co.nz, Megi is

Super Typhoon Megi is more intense than Katrina and Rita back in 2005…Megi may now be the 4th strongest storm ever recorded on the planet.
