An absolute favorite of the kids. I admit I like it too (with ketchup and chili sauce) if not for the “deep fried” part. Anything deep-fried is a no-no to me 🙁

This is a wonderful side dish as long as the slices are well done and crispy and not soggy.

Fiber Rich Food

Someone I know recently underwent a colon cleansing treatment from a spa/therapy/treatment health and wellness center. I am not sure if she is taking colon cleansing pills but what I know of was she went through an oral cleansing regimen by ingesting food with lots of dietary fiber.

In our household we try to do some things differently by doing some changes in our food intake to make sure we have fiber rich food to help and digestion and fecal movement. Ewww? No, its not.

We have brown rice which is said to be rich in fiber. We have coffee that has green beans. We steer clear of food rich in animal fat. We have fish and white meat as part of the diet more than we have red meat. Processed food has no place in our meals and we try to avoid these as much as possible. Fruits and vegetables are regularly consumed.

These are just a few of the little steps to be done to ensure that health is given priority without denting the budget. It is doable.
