Ouch!

Ouch! That is what I always say everytime I get down from the bed every morning. That “Ouch!” is an understatement because it is more like “Ouch, Ouch, Ouch!”

I have heel spur. I haven’t been to a doctor since I first felt it several months back. I have read a lot of information and asked sporty friends for the best heel pain relief.

What I do is I wear this ankle strap because I can’t find any arch strap being sold in the many sports stores and drugstores I have been to. I also bought a “heel spur friendly” walking flip-flops from Skechers. At night I massage my foot with oil.

The pain is less now. I can only feel it when I walk for a long time without the ankle strap either because I forgot to wear it or I am wearing shoes that can’t fit if I wear the strap.

I still need that arch strap though.

Congratulations Seb!

My husband is a big Formula 1 fan. Now, our son is a bigger fan than his father 😀

If they miss the live race, they will watch for replays. The son keeps tabs on the scores, not just for the current season but with other seasons as well. He is after all, a statistician even when he was way younger.

2012 Formula 1 season is a very exciting season and with only three points ahead of Fernando Alonso, Sebastian Vettel wins his third Formula 1 Grand Prix championship.

Here are two photos I took a few weeks ago while they are watching livestream.

Formula1

This sleep deprived mom was up till 2am on a school night to keep an eye on the boy who was also up and bent on not missing the final race of the season which he has religiously followed from the beginning. Sigh…

I just hope he gets some sleep in the school bus.

Looking Forward to Cool Weather

This is the tree beside the house with more leaves attached to it. These days, the leaves are 50% gone and that means the cool weather will be prevailing for the next two months or so.

Edited Sky Photo

I am looking forward to that except that this kind of weather means more allergy attacks.

Science Projects

Science being taught in school is exciting. The children get to experiment with a lot of things where some of the questions they have about the things happening around them are being answered.

I remember when we were still homeschooling: Science is one of the subject matter area that the children are looking forward to doing everyday.

Take for example today. My eldest child is going to a hardware store to buy some materials for an experiment: mirrors, digital ph meter, some glass slides among other things.

All around us is about Science and if we teach our children these things, then they not only learn but we get to pique their curiosities to learn more.

Christmas Wish

Last year, we gifted our youngest daughter a guitar.

Bunso's Guitar

For this Christmas, she says she wants a violin. Hmmm… I think there will come a time when she will ask for Gibson Custom Les Paul Custom. I wouldn’t mind and if we can afford it, why not?

For now, I am sure children around the world are in their best behavior because the season of gifting giving is just around the corner.

Consider this when you go shopping for gift, will ya?
