Korg X5

My daughters and my husband love to use our Korg X5. It is an old Korg that has been with us for almost 16 or 17 years now but it still works just fine.

Here is a link to the photo of our Korg X5.

I have featured the Korg here and here. Elder daughter uses a pair of mini speakers when she plays but the younger daughter uses headphones.

The hubby said he plans to look for korg kaossilator at the music stores in the nearby mall. We always encourage the children to learn more about music. My younger daughter is also learning how to play the guitar.

Hungarian Vizsla

I came upon a dog breed I am not familiar with, the Hungarian Vizsla.

They are active pointing dogs. They like to run around, swim, walk, run some more and hunt.

Watch how their day should be spent:

If we have a big space, I would want to have a dog like this because it means I can go outdoors for exercise. There is no excuse not to do so because they have to be brought out. They just can’t stay indoors and lay on their latex mattress the whole day.

We do have a dog, an American Pitbull Terrier. Since we don’t have a big yard, the only exercise he gets was when he runs away from us when it’s time to put him back in his cage, haha!

Avocado Pudding

I featured some baked avocado fries in this blog.

Below was the photo I used for the blog entry:

avocado fries

My kids remembere the avocado pudding I made before and asked why I haven’t made that again. Why not? The avocado we got from the MIL was used to make “ice cream” meaning mashed avocado + evaporated milk + muscovado sugar, frozen in the freezer. I am the only one eating the stuff.

Avocado pudding is easy to make, just mash the avocado (or use a food processor) and mix in powdered cocoa then chill for a few hours. Ahhh… now I remember and I think I MUST get some new avocados later.

Some use this as base for cheesecake though I still have to try that.

Here are recipes to make for avocado + banana pudding.

Swimming Fun

My kids love swimming.

pool

Even in cold weather, they will gamely dip, splash, dive, float and paddleswim in swimming pools. In the photo below, can you feel the cool weather? In the part with trees, the fog/clouds are slowly making their presence felt. But no fog nor rain can keep these kids from enjoying the cool waters.

I’m sure if our room in this resort had clawfoot bath, they will still enjoy staying in there.

Good thing they always eat healthy food and take their vitamin C supplements, they didn’t get sick from swimming in the cool water.

X-Mini v1.1

I won this wonderful X-Mini v1.1 from a game of “Bring Me” in an event I attended. I would have loved to win one of those bracket tv stands they gave away but I got this instead and it is just as well.

X-Mini v1.1

I love it! The sounds are just right and I might just buy another one to make the sound better and balanced.

There is just one thing though that makes me sad.

I am supposed to charge the device for a few hours. I did that several times already using my tab’s charger and this X-Mini’s cable plugged to an electrical outlet.

When I use it, I plug that same usb part to my laptop but when I remove the usb part from my laptop (where I usually attach it), the music stops!

It is supposed to play 6 hours or so even if the usb part is not plugged (because it was charged!) to any device with the audio jack only attached. The speaker is dead and won’t play that way.

Sigh, I wish I could bring it to a store for technicians to look at what’s wrong but I don’t know where to bring it since I don’t have a receipt.

Help! Anyone!

Plant Growth

plant growth on concrete stairs

Amazing how plant growth can happen even on concrete with very little soil to cling on to.

Photo first posted in Instagram.
