Archive for the 'Valentine’s Day' tag

Forever

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I’m sure couples are eyeing where to spend this special day. Whether they spend it on a day at the beach, hiking mountain trails, checking in at hotels in orlando, or running a marathon together, sometimes it does not really matter as long as they are together and having a blast.

Of course, being that Valentine’s Day is commercially-driven these days it is no surprise that more and more people find it not too special to spend anymore. For those couples with children, this has become a family affair: dinner, out of town trips or special meals cooked at home.

“Everyday should be like Valentine’s Day” say some and in that note, I have to agree.
Enjoy the sort film as much as I did 🙂

Making Valentine’s Day More Special

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner as evidenced by the pinks, reds and heart-shaped decorations seen in different places.

It is the gift-giving season after Christmas’s gifting but this time around, gifts are considered as more special.

Flowers?

Stuffed toys?

Chocolates?

Teen gifts at Personal Creations?

Out of town trips? (yes for me!!!)

Whatever is that “perfect” Valentine’s Day gift for your loved ones, the tag price is not important as long as one is sure to give these gifts sincerely and from the heart.

Gift-Giving on Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is just a few days away.

Do people still celebrate this day of love? Sure they do.

We always say that love should be showed and celebrated everyday by doing so many things for those close to our hearts. Now this is even better.

I remember when I was younger when we would have mini-Valentine parties at school. No dances nor fancy food, we just play games like match the broken hearts and trivia questions prepared by the teacher. There were even those who give flowers to the ones they fancy or some gave promotional pens, cute note pads, chocolate lollipops and knick-knacks to the rest of us to show that we are appreciated.

Like Christmas, this special day seems to be the target of consumerism what with the influx of red and pink goods in the malls and commercial establishments. Throw in the discounted family and couple packages that hotels, restaurants and resorts offer and one is set to burn money to celebrate this day which happened to be a weekend.

By the way, here is a cute poem entitled “A Valentine for my Teacher
