Lighted Candles

Candles are one of the things that make a place look relaxed and cozy.

I for one prefer to have candles for their flickering lights and the shadows they cast look wonderful for me.

We would have decorative candles in our house too but since most of these have scents, that would not be a good idea for me who has allergies to scented things. All we have are functional ones to be lighted when the lights go off ๐Ÿ˜€

Plus, living in a country where the weather can be scorching hot, and where even homes have small industrial fans to ward off the heat, lighted candles are of course, not going to survive the wind from these fans.

But then, maybe I will get those tall clear glasses and put my candles inside so these will not die out.

Summer Travel

The children are currentlly vacationing down South where the beaches have fine powdery white sand and the air has a tangy scent ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes, I really wish we, my husband and I could be with them to enjoy being together and have fun memories

Sending them off was no easy for we had to know a lot about travel deals and choose the perfect time and ticket price that is affordable and would not burn a hole in the pocket ๐Ÿ™‚

Some people I know were able to save on half the ticket prices because they booked their travels almost half a year before the travel time itself, clever ones!

They are enjoying their vacation with their cousins so far s I know that being away from home is worth it

Health Issues

When my father was working at one of the American military bases here, I remember his stories about the buildings there that had to be redone due to a research regarding asbestos material used on the flooring. My grandfather who used to work there had to wear hearing aid due to occupational hazard.

So much have been said about asbestos poisoning which is one of the reasons why mesothelioma is present in people over 65 years of age.

I hope those who have this and other health conditions will be able to survive and their family members come out stronger after dealing with this condition of their loved one.

Caring for Chichi

Summer days mean fleas and ticks for the pets and our Chichi is no exception to this

It was a summer too when one of our pets died because of infestation

Now we are more careful, bathing the dog ever so often and keeping his area clean

Natural ways to keep these from “invading” the pet are also done by us like putting fresh garlic in the food

I hope that fleas and ticks will not go near our pet and if this will happen, Frontline will surely be a big help ๐Ÿ™‚
