Running (in marathons) has taken up a new level. The craze is like badminton several years ago.
Running is perhaps one of the least expensive sports there is, for a beginner . All you got to do is get a good pair of shoes plus clothes that will not feel heavy and make you sweat buckets, you are good to go.
Investing on a good pair of athletic shoes like mbt shoes or running-specific shoes is a good move.
One can get those wrist watches for time, heart rate monitor, running GPS/camera/camelbacks, music players, sunglasses, at a later stage. This is just my opinion though.
You can run a few blocks in your neighborhood early in the morning or early evening, or even during weekends, no need to pay for any membership fees. Be careful with stray dogs though π
You can read a lot of websites, talk to people who are into the sport and even join running clinics.
There is a website that lists the schedule of marathons one can join. It is no surprise that two-three or even more are happening every week.
Why, there is even a website that lists the songs in the play lists of runner.
Talks to self: “So, wake up early, gear up and go!” π

I love looking at old homes so this particular house piqued my interest. Hubby thought it was a museum. My oldest daughter thought it was an office.
“It is not an old house”, was the answer I got when I asked about it. The owners just had this made looking as such.

“Ang init!” is everyone’s mantra these days to think that summer just started the other day. The heat is unbearable and it seems that everyone wants to eat halo-halo and/or drink fruits shakes π
Cooler destinations are crowded of course, especially those nice houses with Amish fireplaces where one can sit in front of to counter the cool weather.
Ahhh, I miss those cool mornings when I take my morning bath and my teeth are chattering. The heat is just so much and we are taking a lot of precautions so we will not get sick.
So, what are your summer destinations?
*ang init = it is so hot!

It is now officially summer in the country and I am sure a LOT of people are now canvassing stores, browsing websites and asking those “inΒ the know” about the best digital cameras available in the market today, within their budget of course.
I know a lot of people would drool over DSLR, thinking these cameras would make them great photographers. Hmmm… ok, I joined a group in Facebook that says: “Hindi Porke’t May DSLR ka ay Photographer Ka Na” which roughly translates to “Not because you have a DLSR means you are a photographer”
LOL, bitter.
Photography is one of the “in” things these days, aside from running a marathon, blogging and playing Plants Versus Zombies π
Still as they say, it is NOT the camera that makes you a photographer, its the way you take photos that makes you one.
Me? I’m not a photographer and I won’t even pretend that I am. I am a hobbyist π
