Care for a Cup?

Coffee. It might be true that for some, coffee , not blood, runs in their veins 😉 and yes, even the burps smell like coffee.

coffee

I love coffee. My husband and I share a big cup every morning. It is our daily morning ritual.Nothing as fancy as this though, just plain coffee with cream and sugar will do.

The superbly cool weather is a perfect excuse to have a cup or two while sitting in front of an Amish fireplace. Perfect bed weather solution.

Looking Forward to Frugal Christmas Year 3

In a few weeks’ time, the -BER months are here. I’m sure there are those who are getting their Christmas thingamajigs ready in time. Decors, multi color led christmas lights, fabrics like curtains, pillow case and table covers, the tree of course and shopping for gifts.

Funny how the malls put Christmas decorations being sold alongside Halloween paraphernalia. Seems like every year, Christmas is becoming more and more about shopping, shopping and more shopping. Commercialism benefits those who are in the business but not those who charge using their plastic.

Gone are the days when simple celebrations are more meaningful and appreciated. Christmas now comes with a price tag and so for this year, we will have a Frugal Christmas Year 3.

Got Games?

Do you play online games? Do you play computer games or video games? Chances are you do, not just the usual round of solitaire (so 90’s, lol) but paid for and/or downloaded virtual games. I admit, we have a few games that were downloaded or shared by friends, and a few we purchased.

Games are fun ways to spend time, that is if one has a lot of extra time. In fact, children would sometimes ask for games aside from personalized gifts for their special days.

My children especially love games from Electronic Arts Games.

Feel-Good Websites

I saw this article from CNN.com re 8 Feel-Good Websites to Brighten Your Day

I rarely read blogs that have negative blog posts like rants and personal experiences and complaints.

I admit, I myself do rants, especially about our lack of proper water delivery services aka Maynilad’s no water service but since that is an ongoing saga, I think I can rant all I want. Yeah, we have water from Maynilad, 2 pailfuls this dawn, after a week of none coming out of the faucet. Heh.

Anyway, it is such a joy to get “lost” in a virtual world where one feels positive and happy. Who wouldn’t want that, even for just a while?
