Gising Gising

Gising Gising

Gising Gising is a dish made with vegetables, ground pork and coconut milk. I can’t remember what these green vegetables are (hehe) but this dish is quite unique, I must say.

This may go well with the Fried Tilapia (since these were from the same restaurant called Recipes) for a perfect home-cooked lunch

Why home-cooked? Because I am a miser, why eat out when you can cook these at home, right? 😉

If I have food like these at home for lunch then I would definitely need some weight loss pills 😀

By the sound of the name, Gising, gising! parang sili ata yan. Yan ang magic ng coco milk, for me, everything with coco milk masarap. hehe.

u can try ordering this at recipes greenbelt

we usually combine the baguio beans and green sili and cut it diagonally where the 2 veggies look almost the same, you can’t distinguish it, you can control how spicy by controlling the green sili you put into it..

by the way, some provinces have a spicy dish also called gising gising but it looks different from this…looks more like chopsuey with tofu

actually, kakakain ko lang nyan last week. it’s baguio beans chopped into small pieces. meron nyan sa RECIPES, Rob’s Place-Ermita. Sarap ng Gising Gising nila dun promise. Samahan nyo pa ng Crispy Tilapia.

I even made my own version of it. Hinulaan ko lang ingredients pero super sarap din ng kinalabasan. Coconut milk pala iyon? Ang hinalo ko kasi Cream of Mushroom eh.

That bowl of gising gising was also from Recipes in TriNoma.

    How did you do it?

    Hi Leticia!

Ok, you can use my Gising-Gising photo with permission #1.

I have to tell you though that I have an entirely different recipe and photo for the same dish name that I still have to write a post about in my food blog.
