Jollibee Breakfast Joys

Hands down, our children love the cheeseburgers from another burger chain but for breakfast, nothing beats Jollibee Breakfast Joys.

So yesterday we had these when it is usually Saturday mornings for this kind of out of the house breakfast date.

I always order the Bangus meal because the other breakfast treats make my tummy feel uncomfortable because of the oil used.

Tocilog

Tocilog = Tocino, Itlog and Sinangag. In this plate I used steamed rice, booo! I think this was a breakfast special served for dinner. Chicken tocino is home-made. I often use chicken breast fillet in the meals I prepare.

It is so easy to cook the chicken tocino, just heat chicken tocino pieces on a skillet with a little water then put a little oil when the water has evaporated a bit. It would have been nice to have grilled chicken cooked on an electric grill but this would do for those who are pressed for time like me.

Sausage Omelet

Ingredients:

3 pieces of sausages (I used those that were bought from Ilocos, given as “pasalubong”)

1 big tomato, diced

1 onion, diced

2 garlic cloves, minced

3 eggs, beaten

1 teaspoon of cooking oil (I use Canola oil)

2 teaspoons of oyster sauce

salt and pepper to taste

a dash of dried basil

Omelet is a perfect food for those on the go. It is easy to do and can be served during any meal. It can be taken with hot rice, fried rice or bread.

I like mine with fried rice and  tomato ketchup.

Breakfast

They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Filipinos are know to have heavy breakfast of rice, eggs, meat and fruits. Or pancakes, champorado, porridge and pandesal with limitless choices for filling.

For those on the go, the easiest way to have breakfast is by making sandwiches, preparing oatmeal and cereals with milk or having a glass of fruit smoothie.
